Summary

Forget everything you knew about Consumer and Residential Construction Law.  Ohio has completely changed the legal framework for larger home remodeling, repair, and improvement contracts going forward.

On September 19, 2024, changes to Ohio law became effective that removed residential remodeling projects with a value of more than $25,000 from the coverage of the Consumer Sales Practices Act and to the much different coverage of the Home Construction Service Suppliers Act.  This change dramatically impacts the remedies available to homeowners.  Join us for this seminar as we discuss these changes as well as other issues relating to consumer remedies for residential construction disputes.
