Summary

In this One-Hour (1.0) Prof. Cond. CLE course, Jared D. Correia, Esq., explores the many ethical issues that arise when lawyers use AI, including the logistical questions. Artificial intelligence can be an assistive technology for attorneys, that can improve the way that lawyers do their jobs, but only so long as those lawyers are using the technology in a way that is protective of client information, and that actually serves the end goal of providing zealous representation to law firm clients.

Topics to be addressed include:

 -AI + lawyer competency

-vetting AI tools

-using AI tools in a way that protects client confidentiality

-IP + copyright issues related to AI

-disclosure of the use of AI tools

-the future of AI + legal ethics
