Summary

Energy credits and tax incentives have faced whiplash in the past few years between what Congress passed in 2021 with the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) and what was just recently passed under the One Big Beautiful Bill (OBBBA). While headlines suggest the IRA is on life support, the reality is more complex—and more relevant than ever for legal practitioners advising clients in energy, real estate, construction, or sustainability sectors.

This CLE will unpack the evolving landscape of federal energy tax credits, dissecting how OBBBA reshapes and refocuses the energy incentives originally established under the IRA. Attendees will gain insights into which credits are still available, what’s changed in terms of eligibility and compliance, and how clients—from developers to investors—can still leverage significant tax benefits in 2025 and beyond.

Whether you’re navigating clean energy installations, advising on tax equity structures, or just trying to make sense of the new alphabet soup of incentive programs, this session will equip you with the latest legislative updates and strategic takeaways. The IRA is not dead—and this CLE will show you why it still matters.
