This CLE Program will address Legislative proposals and problems associated with “electronic” wills. How do the proposals affect the elimination of counselors at law in the process of estate planning?

How are such wills executed? The program will address potentials for fraud and concerns for undue influence in the absence of a lawyer. Finally, the program will address the position of the OSBA Section Council and responses regarding the proposals.

Attendees Can Expect to Learn

  1. What is an E-Will and what are E-State Planning and Probate Documents?
  2. The Uniform Electronic Transaction Act and the Electronic Probate Documents Act.
  3. Nevada’s Electronic Estate Planning Laws and how it affects or does not affect Ohioans.
  4. Current Ohio Proposed Legislation and the Ohio Bar Association’s Position.
  5. The Future:
